On 27 May 2026, the LIFE GreenLED demonstration site in Alphen aan den Rijn has officially been inaugurated, marking the transition from innovation project to operational climate adaptation solution. By combining rainwater harvesting, treatment, storage and reuse, the project demonstrates how high-quality rainwater can be safely reused for close-contact urban applications, supporting greener, healthier and more climate-resilient cities.
